Traveling Trio Family visited Riga, Latvia. This was my hometown, the city where I grew up. So many memories! I was hoping that my kids would enjoy visiting it and have great experiences!
Riga did not disappoint. The days were long and warm. Old town was bubbling with tourists, cafes, restaurants, music, flowers… Stores had delicious food and snacks, local daily market had fresh berries, mushrooms, cheese, and all kinds of delicacies.
Another highlight of our visit was movie theater – Forum Cinemas. Let me tell you, it was a huge surprise. Not only movies are shown there in the original language, the setup for snacks there was amazing. They have warmers with already filled popcorn and it is scrumptious! We highly recommend it. After long days of sightseeing, this was our favorite evening activity!
It would be wrong not to mention our favorite gluten-free bakery – “Better Bread“. One of the baked items was sold out and owner took the order from us and then texted us on the day that the requested baked goods were on hold and waiting for us. They were so delicious! We are ready to go back for seconds now!
