Our Caribbean Cruise Experience aboard Sky Princess

We desperately need sunshine during the long and grueling winter season, so what is better than spending winter break aboard luxurious cruise ship? We chose 10-day Caribbean Cruise with Princess Cruises.

Islands

Our cruise was leaving from Fr. Lauderdale and had stops on St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Bahamas, and St. John.

Gourmet Food

Princess Cruises has very delicious gluten-free food. We ate in the main buffet, there were always gluten-free bread, gluten free bakery items, and you could also request special request from the chef. There were signs that indicated allergy information next to the food, chef was always available to answer questions or address any concerns.

Attractions

When we got to the port, we would explore the city and then head to the beach. You can take excursions from the cruise ship or just get a taxi and pick the beach you want to go to. Taxi is usually our preferred way because it allows us to spend more time on the beach if we want. On the board of the ship there are many possibilities to entertain (craft clubs, afternoon tea, pool, art auctions).

Is the cruise right vacation for you?

We loved it. But keep in mind, that on the cruise you are on a tight and very exact schedule, so exploration time is limited. We wanted to take a ferry to a neighboring island but didn't dare because we were afraid that we wouldn't get back in time. So, do keep that in mind.
